Hi ...Glad you found my humble blog ...I am from the United Arab Emirates , collect Mint stamps, Covers Depends on the topic, Mini and S.sheets... I have some favorite subjects /themes, World Expo, anime / cartoon characters ( future boy Conan, Garfield, hello kitty, Inuyasha..etc), cats, culture and tradition such as costumes or traditional instruments, old phones, landscape scenes, commemorative stamps, Disney, Movies (Star Wars, Batman, Lord of the rings) stamps with stamps pics or money on them, Some historical stamps, I also like stamps with old paintings...and I do not know why but I like stamps with dugong!! yet I wont say no to any you wish to share with me .. care for a cover from UAE? Notice that Saudi Arabia do not have the country name on their stamps, they have their logo on only two sowrds & a palm tree

Emirates Post and Kazpost sign MoU to issue joint stamps featuring both countries’ Presidents The postage stamps, dedicated to development of stronger relations between Kazakhstan and UAE, will be issued along with first day covers and special postmarks. The stamps, designed by the philatelic departments of EPG and Kazpost, are being released ahead of EXPO-2017, which will be held in Kazakhstan from June to September 2017, with participation of more than 100 countries.

WAM Sharjah, Nov 19th, 2012 (WAM) -- The 28th Asian International Stamp Exhibition (Sharjah 2012) will be commencing tomorrow with the official opening ceremony being hosted by the Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA).
The premier event on the Asian and Australasian philately calendar, Sharjah 2012 is taking place under the patronage of the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP) at Mega Mall Sharjah.
The exhibition will run until next Sunday.

Emirates Post wins Bronze Medal in Philatelic Exhibition at UPU Congress in Doha

The exhibition, which was open to all UPU member countries, judged the exhibits on parameters of originality of presentation, technical quality of the philatelic material, utility, philatelic interest and quality of entry.

Emirates Post exhibited postal stamps issued between 2008 and 2012 in two frames at the venue.

This is the first time that the United Arab Emirates took part in this prestigious competition held on the sidelines of the UPU Congress.

There were three categories: countries issuing fewer than 30 stamps per year, countries issuing between 30 and 69 stamps per year and countries issuing more than 70 stamps per year. The UAE was classed in the second category.

Emirates Post will be presented with a congratulatory letter signed by Mr Edouard Dayan, Director General of the UPU and the Bronze medal. The panel of judges was made up of members of UPU International Bureau and suitably qualified international jurors

I was going through stamps stock checking , and found a number of Saudi Stamps that I can exchange some are old and some are new, I will try to upload images of what I have, the number is quite big though, but if interested check the Saudi Post and ask me about about what you're interested in and will let you know if I have them or not.

10-10-10: Nice date this year unfortunatly it is a Sunday which short listed the number of countries I was hoping to receive covers from on this date, except for Arab Countries Received quite good number of covers from them, still receiving depends on how fast or slow the postal services of the sender's country. The funny thing is I sent my self one that I havent receive yet although Emirates post is very fast in sending letter ( maybe international only!)

Customers have the choice of using the old or the new definitive stamps.Definitive stamps are everyday stamps sold at all post offices for all types of postage. They are different from commemorative stamps which are issued to mark certain events or occasions. The stamps, issued in denominations of Dh. 1, Fils 150, Dhs. 2, Dhs. 3, Fils 350, Dhs. 4 and Dhs. 5 "These new definitive stamps have used the beauty of Arabic calligraphy to create a stunning graphic, with the artistic letters cleverly forming the shape of a falcon, the ultimate symbol of Emirati culture" said the Director General of Emirates Post you can see this stamp in some of the letters posted ealier , or might come across some who were posted after. .
