Hi ...Glad you found my humble blog ...I am from the United Arab Emirates , collect Mint stamps, Covers Depends on the topic, Mini and S.sheets... I have some favorite subjects /themes, World Expo, anime / cartoon characters ( future boy Conan, Garfield, hello kitty, Inuyasha..etc), cats, culture and tradition such as costumes or traditional instruments, old phones, landscape scenes, commemorative stamps, Disney, Movies (Star Wars, Batman, Lord of the rings) stamps with stamps pics or money on them, Some historical stamps, I also like stamps with old paintings...and I do not know why but I like stamps with dugong!! yet I wont say no to any you wish to share with me .. care for a cover from UAE? UAE - 2013 Emirates Post Issued ARAB POSTAL DAY Stamp

WAM Dubai, Aug 15th, 2012 (WAM) -- Emirates Post, in association with Arab postal administrations, has issued a set of commemorative stamps in one denominations (225 Fils) to mark Arab Postal Day which is observed every year on 3 August to highlight the role played by the post in community development and celebrate the stages of postal development.

"Arab Postal Day celebrates the dramatic growth of posts in the Arab world and highlights the roles played by postal corporations in the region in the development of social communications down the ages," said Mr.

Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates Post Group. "We are delighted to salute the achievements of Arab postal corporations through these special stamps." Arab Postal Day highlights the importance of communication and information technologies in the Arab world, and seeks to identify opportunities for boosting cooperation in the postal field in Arab countries.

Emirates Post seeks to document local and global achievements and important occasions and events through commemorative stamps, as postage stamps are a channel of cross-cultural communication, reaching different countries and peoples across the globe.
