From May the 1st till Otober 31 2010 , the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China.
More than 190 countries and more than 50 international organizations have registered to participate in the Shanghai World Expo, the largest ever, one of which is the United Arab Emirates, the United Arab Emirates Pavilion looks like one big golden color sand dune found in the deserts of UAE and the Empty Quarter .
The outer covering of the pavilion is gold-colored stainless steel. Its undulating roof, looking as if it has been shaped by the wind, makes the pavilion shimmer and change colors, reminding visitors of the Middle East country's various natural environments (from UAE Pavilion Features).
For this occasion on May 12th 2010, Emirates post Issued two commemorative stamps, the denominations are AED 1 and AED 5.50.
