Hi ...Glad you found my humble blog ...I am from the United Arab Emirates , collect Mint stamps, Covers Depends on the topic, Mini and S.sheets... I have some favorite subjects /themes, World Expo, anime / cartoon characters ( future boy Conan, Garfield, hello kitty, Inuyasha..etc), cats, culture and tradition such as costumes or traditional instruments, old phones, landscape scenes, commemorative stamps, Disney, Movies (Star Wars, Batman, Lord of the rings) stamps with stamps pics or money on them, Some historical stamps, I also like stamps with old paintings...and I do not know why but I like stamps with dugong!! yet I wont say no to any you wish to share with me .. care for a cover from UAE? The Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA) participated in the London 2010 Stamp World Exhibition held in London, United Kingdom from 8 – 15 May 2010. The exhibitors from more than 65 countries participated in the show. EPA participants in the show won a number of laurels for their entries at the exhibition.

Mr. Abdulla Mohammed Tayyeb Khoory, President of Emirates Philatelic Association won a Large Vermeil Medal for his collection “Abu Dhabi From Trucial States to U.A.E”. Ms. Nasreen Fatima won Large Vermeil for her exhibit “India: Queen Victoria, 1855-1900, The D'La Rue Issues and usages”. Mr. Thomas Johansen also won Large Vermeil for his exhibit “Bahrain Postal History - The Indian Period”. Mr. Mohamad Aamir Khan won Vermeil Medal for his exhibit “Great Britain: 1840-1841, Plate V, The Repairs and Sates”. Mr. Omar Mohd Ahmad Muallemi was a National Commissioner for the exhibition from the UAE and also won Vermeil medal for his exhibit “A Glance on Stamps Used in Dubai”. These achievements have enhanced our prestige in the world of philately. It is a great honour for United Arab Emirates to achieve above successes.
