The Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA) participated in the London 2010 Stamp World Exhibition held in London, United Kingdom from 8 – 15 May 2010. The exhibitors from more than 65 countries participated in the show. EPA participants in the show won a number of laurels for their entries at the exhibition.
Mr. Abdulla Mohammed Tayyeb Khoory, President of Emirates Philatelic Association won a Large Vermeil Medal for his collection “Abu Dhabi From Trucial States to U.A.E”. Ms. Nasreen Fatima won Large Vermeil for her exhibit “India: Queen Victoria, 1855-1900, The D'La Rue Issues and usages”. Mr. Thomas Johansen also won Large Vermeil for his exhibit “Bahrain Postal History - The Indian Period”. Mr. Mohamad Aamir Khan won Vermeil Medal for his exhibit “Great Britain: 1840-1841, Plate V, The Repairs and Sates”. Mr. Omar Mohd Ahmad Muallemi was a National Commissioner for the exhibition from the UAE and also won Vermeil medal for his exhibit “A Glance on Stamps Used in Dubai”. These achievements have enhanced our prestige in the world of philately. It is a great honour for United Arab Emirates to achieve above successes.
